  • Salary: £45,000 – £52,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Contract: Full-time, Permanent
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)

The Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Non-Medical Prescriber to join our clinical and therapeutic team. You’ll provide clinical leadership and specialist drug and alcohol expertise within a multidisciplinary environment.

You will play a key role in overseeing safe admissions, detoxification plans and on-going clinical interventions throughout our rehabilitation programme. Working closely with the Director of Clinical Care/Registered Manager, you’ll support our nursing team to maintain the highest standards of modern clinical practice, ensuring compliance with Broadway Lodge policies, legislation and CQC standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives on combining clinical practice with service development.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Clinical Practice:

  • Carry out assessments, prescribe and oversee safe medically managed detoxification.
  • Develop and review person-centred clinical treatment plans, including detoxification, ensuring they are comprehensive and recovery focused.
  • Provide clinical guidance on co-morbid physical and/or mental health issues.
  • Ensure all prescribing and detoxification protocols are compliant with NICE and internal guidelines.
  • Oversee medicines management processes and contribute to audits, clinical governance and service improvement.
  • Lead or contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings, ensuring effective communication with external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to accurate risk assessments and management plans to safeguard clients.

 

Leadership & Governance:

  • Lead on clinical service development, governance and quality assurance.
  • Support the Director of Clinical Care/Registered Manager with CQC compliance and inspections.
  • Provide leadership, supervision and professional development opportunities for the clinical team.
  • Promote Broadway Lodge’s values and maintain a professional image through excellent communication and behaviour.
  • Participate in your own clinical supervision and continuous professional development.

 

 

Skills & Experience

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse status and a Non-Medical Prescriber qualification.
  • Sound knowledge of substance misuse treatment and related health issues, including dual diagnosis.
  • Experience prescribing for people with addiction and/or complex needs.
  • Understanding of CQC regulations, NICE guidelines, and other relevant standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven clinical leadership and supervision experience.
  • The successful candidate will promote high standards of clinical care and contribute to a compassionate, person-centred environment for our clients.
