Miracle Mansion Podcast: The Winter family lost Ashley to alcohol addiction

This is a special episode where Markkus (Head of Treatment, Counselling & Aftercare), speaks to Margaret and Hayley, mother and sister of former client Ashley Winter who has sadly passed away.

Ashley spent 12 weeks at Broadway Lodge for alcohol addiction at the end of 2023 where he was sober, safe and happy. He left treatment in the December and was tragically found unresponsive just 5 days later in his home.

In this episode, you will get to hear about Ashley’s younger years, his personality and his successful career in the film industry, as well as the progression of his addiction. Margaret and Hayley talk candidly about their experience of supporting a loved one with the powerful illness of addiction and what is was like in the lead up to his admission at Broadway Lodge. They also outline the impact that Ashley’s addiction and tragic death has had on them.

We cannot thank Margaret and Hayley enough for their bravery to share their personal story of addiction from the family’s perspective.
