We are over the moon that Partners at Waitrose in Weston-super-Mare have chosen Broadway Lodge as one of three causes included in their next Community Matters green token scheme.
Throughout November, shoppers at the store will be given a green token at the checkout to deposit into a collection tank (similar to the one below) where they can choose to support either Broadway Lodge or one of the other two charities.
Following November’s collection, Waitrose will divide £1,000 between the three causes and the amount for Broadway Lodge will be dependent upon the number of tokens deposited in the Broadway Lodge section. As an alternative to donating the cash, Waitrose will donate Christmas presents for clients to the value that the tokens represent.
