You don’t have to struggle through life challenges or painful experiences alone. Although speaking to people you are close to can help you to offload your thoughts, sometimes it can feel easier, safer and more comfortable to confide in a welcoming, trained professional who will respect your confidentiality and who has no bias or judgment about you or your life. We know how beneficial speaking with a counsellor can be which is why we’re pleased to now offer outpatient one to one counselling as a standalone service for individuals and couples affected by addiction. Each counselling session is 50 minutes in duration and is facilitated online using video calling platform Zoom, allowing anyone to conveniently access the support of one of our highly experienced counsellors regardless of location.
Who is counselling with Broadway Lodge suitable for?
As specialists in addiction, online one to one counselling with us may be suitable if you can identify with any of the following:
- If you are in recovery from addiction and would like to continue engaging with professional support in your ongoing recovery journey.
- If you are close to somebody with addiction and don’t know what to do for the best or feel like your own wellbeing is suffering as a result.
- If you use alcohol, illicit or prescription drugs or compulsive behaviours to cope with difficult feelings or painful experiences and would like to address this before it develops further, potentially into addiction.
- If you are co-dependent and would like to rediscover your authentic self again and improve your self-worth, confidence and ability to love yourself.
As well as experts in addiction and co-dependency, our qualified counsellors are also highly experienced in helping clients to overcome the array of issues that may also be present and impacting negatively on your life such as anxiety, depression, low self-worth, shame, anger, low mood and lack of confidence.
How we can help
Counselling is a form of talking therapy that enables you to gain clarity and understanding of why you behave and think the way you do so that you can implement healthy patterns of thinking and change. Through the counselling process, the professional will work with you to take a deep exploration into your emotions and behaviours and work through any situations you’re struggling with.
Counselling can help you to navigate a particular challenge or experience you are finding difficult to manage – this could be something in the past or present. It is also useful if you want to better understand yourself and your emotions.
A series of counselling sessions can significantly improve mental and emotional wellbeing, allow you to think more positively and to move forward with your life with a renewed perspective.
