Many exciting changes at Broadway Lodge are in the pipeline and one planned change is now complete! We’ve moved our medical and detox area from the main house into our separate building, called the Gordon Beard Unit.
This unit, located next to the main house, was recently used as the home of extended care clients but anyone in extended care now remain in the main house with the Gordon Beard Unit being the area where any clients undergoing a detox will stay (however currently, all new clients will spend a period of quarantine here upon admission to Broadway Lodge as a coronavirus infection control measure). This unit was built in 2010 and comprises: 5 en-suite twin bedrooms; client lounge; medical office and clinic for our psychiatrist. The unit is calm and quiet with seating outside where clients can relax and enjoy the fresh air.
The Gordon Beard Unit is staffed 24/7 by our medical clinicians who continue to also support clients in the main house who are engaging in the therapeutic programme.
