I completed my treatment at Broadway Lodge on the 11th January 2016.  Whilst in treatment I always commented on how grateful I have been for the extraordinary care I received.  Since leaving I have been able to reflect further on how fortunate I have been, which is why I find myself feeling so well and positive at this stage of my continued recovery.  All those who work at Broadway, the administration team, the nurses, medical, domestic, chefs, marketing and counsellors all collectively ensure the high standard and quality of care.  However, it was the counsellors with my 1:1 counselling and group therapy which has enabled and allowed me to understand so much more about myself, and I have been given the ability to be able to move forward with my life with so much more confidence with the tools to do so. Prior to my arrival, I had had numerous hospital admissions to detox; this did not work for me and I was only a drain on NHS resources; it was not getting to the root of my problems; the alcohol was just a symptom.  Rehab was the only way forward for me and I was fortunate enough to have been given the gift of Broadway Lodge.  I have never felt more content, motivated, at peace and safe within myself for many years.  Thoughts of suicide had often been at the forefront of my mind.  I would like to thank you and all the team for how I find myself now, positive and looking forward to the future.  The care, compassion, passion, understanding and empathy from all the counsellors has truly made my recovery possible.
